“Akra” is an ancient Greek word deeply rooted in history, geography, and symbolism. It forms the basis of the word Acropolis, referencing the citadel of Athens perched high upon its hill.
Akra Bar, located above Ouzeri, is an intimate cocktail and wine bar. The menu will be anchored by a selection of pre-dinner drinks and after dinner digestives. We focus on a refined list of classic cocktails, some reimagined with subtle but surprising touches as well as a small, thoughtful, rotating selection of local and international natural wines.
Akra Bar was born from the idea of creating a complete circle for our guests, in the spirit of true Greek hospitality. We imagined a space where the evening could begin with a pre-dinner drink, and, for those who wish to linger, end with a perfectly made digestif to close the night. While the concept grew from the experience of dining with us, Akra Bar is open to everyone whether joining us for dinner or simply stopping by for a drink.
